ATLANTA (CelebrityAccess) — AEG Live Nashville has named Clay Schell to the post of Senior Talent Buyer. Schell will be based out of the company's Atlanta offices and focus on buying shows for the southeastern US.
Before joining the AEG team, Schell served as the Vice President of Programming, at the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, which included oversight of the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, the Chastain Amphitheater and the Atlanta Symphony Hall.
Prior to that, Schell was the general manager and southeast region manager for House of Blues and was responsible for developing nontraditional revenue and special events business at HiFi Buys Amphitheatre, in addition to talent buying.
Schell's experience also includes stints as Southeast Region Manager for the House of Blues, and ran his own consulting firm where where he helped oversee the successful implementation of artist touring for Mark Knopfler, Tina Turner, Dire Straits, Paul McCartney, Joe Cocker and Aerosmith. – Staff Writers
