Andrew Macrae, a former exec of Live Nation in the U.K., was sentenced Jan. 5 to 20 months imprisonment, suspended for 20 months, after pleading guilty to seven counts of voyeurism and one count of outraging public decency in October.

The judge placed Macrae on the Sex Offenders’ Register for 10 years and ordered him to participate in a 60-day sexual offenders’ rehabilitation program, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Macrae was spotted on a train by an off-duty detective inspector July 19, 2017, using a camera disguised as a pen to film up the skirts of female commuters. He was escorted off the train and arrested for voyeurism. A subsequent search of Macrae’s home and workplace found a data storage device containing a large volume of voyeuristic material, including “upskirt” photos and videos, according to police. The offenses occurred between 2013 and 2017 and included filming two victims he knew personally, authorities said.

Macrae admitted to filming a colleague during a brief meeting, taking a pair of her underwear from her gym bag, and laying out on his desk to take pictures. according to the U.K. Metro newspaper

‘This was undoubtedly a sophisticated, organized, planned and long-running campaign of voyeurism, albeit sporadically,” Judge Jeremy Donne QC said at sentencing, according to Metro. ‘These offenses are rightly regarded with revulsion by the public in general and women in particular. ‘On the other hand, you suffer from an illness that can be treated and you have submitted to treatment.’

Macrae told officers he was disgusted with himself, saying he and his wife were receiving counseling.

He was barred from contacting the three victims named in the indictment and ordered to pay £102 restitution to one of them.

“Andrew Macrae was terminated by Live Nation Entertainment in July 2017 following his arrest,” Live Nation said in a statement. “Live Nation strongly condemns Macrae’s acts and is outraged by his offensive and criminal behaviour which has no place at our company, city or the world at large.”
