LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) DJ music platform Beatport has announced the launched Beatport Creative Services, which it touts as “one of several significant developments planned for the company” in 2018.
BCS is expected to deepn the platform’s relationship with artist and brands, opening up opportinities foir brands to connect with both the DJs that use Beatport and their audiences.
Details of BCS’s mission are shrouded in business-speak. The division will “work with the Beatport ecosystem and brands to activate and accelerate dance music culture through a variety of programs.” Also, the BCS team, based out of Beatport’s Los Angeles and Berlin offices, will be available “to all Beatport artists and labels as a creative agency driving value outside Beatport’s core online retail store.”
The announcement was made by Beatport CEO Robb McDaniels.
“Beatport’s sole mission is to help the DJ community make more connections in more places, increasing awareness for the creative talent we have the privilege of working with on a daily basis,” McDaniels said. “Beatport Creative Services is a logical way for us to leverage our global footprint to help artists, brands and customers engage in an authentic and meaningful way.”
Beatport, a subsidiary of LiveStyle, will announce the first BCS programs and partners in the second quarter followed by “big improvements” to the Beatport Store in the third quarter, according to a press release.
