MANCHESTER, England (CelebrityAccess) The cricket stadium that hosted the One Love Manchester benefit concert last June in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, had a very good year.

The Old Trafford Cricket Ground, which is known by its naming rights sponsor as Emirates Old Trafford, saw a 93 percent increase in profits in 2017. The venue saw total profits of £2.35 million for the year, according to Pan Stadia.

It is the first time since 2014 that the Lancashire Cricket Club has seen a net surplus. Much of the increase was attributed to high-profile matches, especially a visit from the South Africa cricket club that drew more than 60,000 to the stadium.

Lancashire Cricket Club helped organize the One Love Manchester benefit concert and British television special, which benefited We Love Manchester Emergency Fund. The concert, held two weeks after the bombing attack after an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena that killed 22 and injured 500, raised about $13 million in donations.

Some of the success is attributed to the 150-bedroom Hilton Garden that opened nearby in August.

“With the completion of the new hotel bringing the lengthy development period to a conclusion, the Club is now able to fully focus on maximising the return on its investment by growing its business activities for the future benefit of cricket at both elite and recreational level,’ finance director Lee Morgan said in a statement. “It is important that the club uses its world class facilities to create a lasting legacy with Emirates Old Trafford being the centre for cricket in the North West.”
