Ted Cohen Named Head Of Corporate Development At MediaTech

AUSTIN, TX (CelebrityAccess) — MediaTech Ventures, an investment fund and incubator focused on the nexus of music and technology, announced the hiring of entertainment industry veteran Ted Cohen as its Head of Corporate Development.

In his new gig at MediaTech, Cohen will focus on identifying new revenue opportunities and building partnerships for MediaTech with major media brands.

Cohen comes to his new role with more than three decades in the entertainment world, with his experience ranging from traditional artist management to recorded music and music video production. Over the course of his career, he has worked with artists ranging from The Sex Pistols & Van Halen to The Who & Fleetwood Mac, advised companies ranging from Universal Studios & Gibson Guitar to Napster, Amazon.com & Microsoft.

Most recently, he served as Managing Partner of the consulting firm TAG Strategic, which served as “a combination Swiss Army knife and pocket field guide to the digital and mobile industries.”

MediaTech’s current focus includes some of the most high profile areas of music innovation, such as artificial intelligence and blockchain technology. MediaTech’s current portfolio includes Musicians Desk Reference, a project management and marketplace platform aimed at working musicians, and the Global Media Initiative, an international data aggregation and analysis platform.
