LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — PlayPass, an RFID/cashless payment, and access control provider, announced that Steve Jenner has been promoted to the role of Managing Director in the company’s UK operation.
Jenner first joined PlayPass in 2015 after more than a decade as the director and co-founder of the organization behind the UK’s Festival Awards. He’s held senior roles at other festival-facing technology companies as well, including PlugGo, and Intelligent Venue Solutions.
Jenner was on hand at this year’s ILMC where he presented as part of a panel on cashless payment systems for festivals that was chaired by Steve Machin.
Jenner’s promotion to a leadership role in the company’s UK office comes as the company prepares to bulk up its staffing in the market. Recent hires include Ben Hirons, who was appointed lead project manager.
Douglas Muir also joined the technical operations team in the UK office.
