CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess) – R. Kelly is expected to plead not guilty to 11 new sex-related felonies at his Cook County arraignment later today.
The hearing comes a week after prosecutors announced the new counts, including four counts of aggravated sexual assault and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim between the ages of 13 and 16. Kelly is also facing two additional counts of criminal sex assault by force and two counts of aggravated criminal sex abuse, according to CBS Chicago.
Kelly pleaded not guilty in February to 10 related counts of aggravated sexual abuse involving three girls and one woman over a period of 10 years beginning in the late 1990s.
In a series of Tweets, Kelly’s attorney, Steve Greenberg, was quick to clarify that the new charges did not relate to new victims, but rather that the accuser was one of the same four women who previously accused Kelly in the February charges.
The judge could revoke Kelly’s bond and order him jailed pending trial.
