NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) The T.J. Martell Foundation is expected to honor Atlantic Records’ Michael Kushner, BMI’s Mike O’Neill and Country Music Association’s Sarah Trahern at its 44th Annual New York Honors Gala in at Cipriani 42nd Street in NYC Oct. 14.
The gala is expected to feature an exclusive silent auction, dinner, awards presentations and live musical entertainment and will benefit T.J. Martell, the music industry’s leading foundation that funds innovative medical research focused on finding treatments and cures for cancer.
Kushner is executive VP, business and legal affairs and general counsel for Atlantic and is slated for the Lifetime Music Industry Award. O’Neill is president and CEO of BMI and will receive the TJ Martell Foundation Legacy Award. Trahern, CEO of the CMA, is to be feted with the Spirit of Music Award.
Kushner is a board member of the arts organization Bang on a Can and has served for the past two years as chairman of the Entertainment Law Initiative.
As for O’Neil, BM has reported its highest-ever revenue and distributions to its affiliates, and Trahern’s credits include GM of Scripps Networks Interactive Great American Country, her own production company – Sterling Television – and working in programming for PBS.
Cocktail reception and silent auction are to begin at 5:30 p.m. and the seated dinner, awards celebration and special entertainment begin at 7 p.m.
