LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift lead the charge as nomination were announced for this year’s annual MTV VMAs.

Grande and Swift each earned ten nominations, including picks for song of the year, video of the tear and best pop artist.

MTV also recognized influential newcomers Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X, who are both nominated for best new artist as well as for best video.

MTV also introduced added some new categories this year with 2019 with best K-Pop which, unsurprisingly, includes a pick for BTS (feat Halsey) “Boy With Luv,” and BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love.” The new categories also include a video for good award, which recognizes socially conscious videos. Nominees for the category include the Killers “Land of the Free” and John Legend’s “Preach.”

The 2019 VMAs will be hosted by comedian Sebastian Maniscalco, and are scheduled to air on August 26.
