NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Following the sale of its remaining stake in the Bonnaroo festival to Live Nation, New York-based production company Superfly has expanded its team with the hire of Richard Gay as the company’s chief operating officer.

Gay, who previously served as executive vice president of BET Networks, also led Viacom’s strategy and operations for their music group for a decade.

Prior to Viacom, he was a partner in the global media and entertainment practice of Booz Allen Hamilton, and at 32 was the youngest person to be named a partner in the firm.

More recently, he founded the entertainment consultancy 5Pack Entertainment.

Superfly also recently promoted Superfly veteran Steve Feener to serve as Chief Products Officer of the company. In his new role, Feener will oversee all of the company’s divisions and IP.

Prior to his promotion, Feener, who has been with Superfly for 17 years, most recently served as an executive producer for Superfly’s flagship Bonnaroo and Outside Lands festival brands.
