BERLIN (CelebrityAccess) — German entertainment and live event producer Deutsche Entertainment Aktiengesellschaft (DEAG) announced it has acquired a controlling stake in Mewes Entertainment Group GmbH.
Founded by Jan Mewes, the artist management, education, and event business currently manages the well-known Germany singer Heino, and collaborated on the release of his hit album “Yours sincerely”, on which he covered German rock and pop songs.
Mewes also reps German artists Mary Roos, Tina, York, Marianne & Michael, Siegfried & Roy, and Sebastian Deyle.
Mewes will remain a managing director at the company following DEAG’s investment. Mewes, a two-time LEA Award winner, was also named Manager of the Year in 2014, and in 2017 as producer and organizer of the best show of the year.

Through the acquisition, DEAG will expand its footprint in the realm of pop and folk music, the company said.
