MIAMI (CelebrityAccess) – Sony/ATV Music Publishing has promoted Jorge Mejia to President & CEO, Latin America and US Latin.
In this new role, Mejia, who reports to Sony/ATV Chairman & CEO Jon Platt, will oversee the company’s operations across the US Latin market and the Latin American region, including its offices in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Miami, where he is based.
The Columbian-born Miami-raised Mejia joined Sony/ATV as an intern in 1997 and was promoted to President, Latin America and US Latin in 2016. Under his leadership, Sony/ATV has established itself as the No.1 Latin music publisher with a roster that includes “Despacito” songwriters Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Erika Ender, as well as Nicky Jam, Maluma, Wisin, Yandel, Ricardo Arjona, Tainy, Darell, Andres Castro, Descemer Bueno, Residente, Farruko and countless others.
