AARHUS, Denmark (CelebrityAccess) — 2020 will mark the final year for Denmark’s Northside Festival at its current home as the festival prepares to move to a new, larger location for 2021.
The festival, which debuted in 2010, is currently held in Ådalen river valley near Aarhus in Denmark with an annual capacity of about 33,000 fans.
The new festival grounds, which are located at Eskelund, which is also near Aarhus, will expand the festival’s capacity by about 7,000.
The changes will provide for a larger concession area with expanded food and beverage offerings while shortening queues, organizers told Danish news site CPH Post.
The new festival grounds will also provide festival organizers with more access to green and forest space, which will be available to the local community during the offseason, CHP Post reported.
Northside is owned by Down the Drain Group, which was acquired by Superstruct in May.
