MIAMI (CelebrityAccess) – Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has promoted respected music industry veteran Olga Cardona to Vice President, Administration and Marketing, Latin Music.
In this expanded role, Cardona will oversee administration and marketing in Latin America and be responsible for driving increased exposure of UMPG’s Latin songwriter roster on social channels.
Based in Miami, she will continue to report to Alexandra Lioutikoff, UMPG President for Latin America and US Latin, and will work closely with the company’s Global Administration team in Nashville, as well as with UMPG’s North American and European Marketing teams.
Since joining UMPG in 2007 through the acquisition of BMG Music Publishing, Cardona has been responsible for the company’s Latin catalogs, including Juan Luis Guerra, Romeo Santos, J Balvin, Jorge Luis Piloto, and Rich Music Ltd, among numerous others.
Prior to UMPG, she served as the first-ever Director of U.S. Latin Operations at BMG Music Publishing where she oversaw artist relations for the likes of Juan Gabriel, El General, and Ilegales, and as SESAC Latina’s first-ever Director of Writer Publisher Relations.

Cardona is a member of the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences; the Songwriters Hall of Fame; Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame; She Is The Music; NAFE and serves as the Vice Chair of Membership for Women in Music’s Miami chapter.
