NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – Sony/ATV Music Publishing has appointed Dana Baxter as Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications.
In her new role, Baxter, who is based out of the company’s New York headquarters and reports to Jon Platt, Chairman and CEO of Sony/ATV, will be tasked with leading all global communications strategies for the company.
She joins Sony/ATV from ESSENCE, where she most recently served as Vice President, Communications and Influencer Relations and was integral to the development of ESSENCE Festival.

Baxter began her career at Viacom’s MTV Networks before serving as Director of Media & Artist Relations at PolyGram/Universal Music Group. She also previously held positions as Vice President at Time Inc., where she directed communications strategy, brand positioning and crisis management for a variety of powerhouse brands and as a principal at DIME Media Inc., a boutique marketing and communications firm she co-founded.
