Report: Dave Chappelle Cancels A Series Of Shows After Potential Exposure To COVID-19

YELLOW SPRINGS, OH (CelebrityAccess) — Comedian Dave Chappelle has reportedly canceled a series of performances for of his ‘Dave Chappelle & Friends — An Intimate Socially Distanced Affair’ due to a potential exposure to COVID-19.

According to Dayton.com Chappelle’s wife, Elaine Chappelle said in a closed Facebook forum that the shows were canceled out of an abundance of caution.

“We take COVID-19 very seriously and there have been no reported cases among patrons or crew,” she wrote, per Dayton.com. “However, due to a possible exposure within our inner circle, and out of an abundance of caution, we have elected to cancel the remaining six shows.”

Affected shows included Saturday, Sept. 26, as well as upcoming shows on Sept. 30, Oct. 1, Oct. 2 and Oct. 3.

Chappelle, who obtained special permission from Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, has been performing socially distanced shows at Wirrig Pavilion in Greene County since August.
