TORONTO (CelebrityAccess) — After a decades long run of bringing music videos and soapy reality shows to Canada’s cable television viewers, Bell Media announced that MTV Canada will officially be going off the air in Canada.

According to the Toronto Star, Bell Media confirmed that the final day for MTV Canada will be December 31st with the decision to drop the channel coming amid “changing audiences.”
MTV Canada launched in 2006, creating a a localized version of the once popular American cable brand, and offering content such as “The Hills” and “Teen Mom,” along with “MTV Live.”
Original Canadian content will not be affected by the change, Bell Media told the Star.
