(CelebrityAccess) — Rapper and music executive Jay-Z is facing allegations of participating in the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl at an awards show after-party in 2000, hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The claim, included in an amended lawsuit filed against Combs by an unidentified woman, alleges that Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, attended the party and took part in the alleged assault.
In a statement to the Associated Press, released through his company Roc Nation, Jay-Z called the allegations “idiotic” and “heinous in nature,” describing them as part of an extortion scheme.
In a court filing, Jay-Z’s attorney argued that the accuser, identified only as Jane Doe, has not provided sufficient evidence to justify maintaining her anonymity.
Through Roc Nation’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, Jay-Z criticized the woman’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, accusing him of engaging in legal “theatrics.”
“I have no idea how you have come to be such a deplorable human, Mr. Buzbee,” Jay-Z wrote. “But I promise I have seen your kind many times over. I’m more than prepared to deal with your type.”
