Marcus Ellington Named EVP Of Ad Sales & Sponsorships At Sphere Entertainment

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Sphere Entertainment announced the hire of veteran sponsorship executive Marcus Ellington for the role of Executive Vice President, Ad Sales and Sponsorships for Sphere.

In his new post, Ellington will focus on expanding ad sales and maximizing revenue for Sphere, as well as managing client relationships across the company’s portfolio, including marquee asset such as Exosphere, the programmable surface display of the Sphere.

He will also be tasked with developing broader Sphere-wide marketing partnerships. He will be based in New York and report to Jennifer Koester, Sphere’s President and Chief Operating Officer.

Ellington joins Sphere Entertainment from Google, where spent a decade in a variety of sales and partnership roles, including for key product areas such as Google Ads, YouTube, Cloud and the Android platform.

He began his career at CBS, where he developed sponsor partnerships for content such as March Madness, the Grammys, and the NFL.
