NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – Universal Attractions Agency (UAA) proudly announces that platinum-selling R&B trio Color Me Badd has signed exclusively with the agency. UAA’s Ben Sauberman and Jeff Epstein will act as responsible agents.
Color Me Bad was formed in 1985 in Oklahoma City. Their debut album, C.M.B, was a massive hit, peaking at number three on the Billboard 200 and reaching triple platinum status by the RIAA. The debut spawned several hits, most notably the debut single “I Wanna Sex You Up,” which spent four weeks at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and featured on the classic 1991 film New Jack City. The follow-up singles off of C.M.B, “I Adore Mi Amor,” and “All 4 Love” each reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively. The success earned Color Me Badd two nominations at the 34th annual Grammy Awards in 1991.
Color Me Badd’s sophomore album, Time and Chance, came on the heels of an appearance on the hit TV show “Beverly Hills, 90210.” The album spawned the hit song “Forever Love,” featured on the soundtrack to the film Mo’ Money. Throughout their career, Color Me Badd has sold over 12 million records worldwide, had nine top 40 hits, won two Soul Train Music Awards, and was considered the leader of a resurgence of post-doo-wop harmony group singing in the early 1990s.
Speaking on signing with UAA, lead vocalist and owner of Color Me Badd, Mark Calderon, said: “Signing with Universal Attractions was a no-brainer for the group. Jeff and the team at UAA have been our most consistent business partners over the years, and we’re happy to be part of this growing agency. The future is bright for Color Me Badd, and we can’t wait to continue this amazing journey with all of the fans out on the road.”
Universal Attractions Agency’s Epstein and Sauberman added: “Color Me Badd are R&B icons and have been so vital to the “I Love The 90s Tour.” We are excited to welcome Color Me Badd to the UAA team!”
Color Me Badd is a mainstay on the acclaimed “I Love The 90s Tour” produced by Universal Attractions Agency. Entering its ninth year, along with Color Me Badd, the lineup includes Vanilla Ice, Treach of Naughty By Nature, Rob Base, Montell Jordan, and many more.
