LAS VEGAS, NV (CelebrityAccess) — Sphere Entertainment Co. announced the hire of hospitality and travel executive Bill Walshe as Executive Vice President, Global Head of Venue Operations and Development for Sphere.
In his new role, Mr. Walshe will oversee venue operations at Sphere in Las Vegas while working with the organization to establish a global network of Sphere venues.
He will be based in Las Vegas and report to Jennifer Koester, President and Chief Operating Officer, Sphere.

Walshe’s resume includes leadership roles at travel brands such as Viceroy Hotel Group, where he served as CEO, overseeing hotels and resorts across the United States, Europe, Mexico, and The Caribbean.
Prior to joining Viceroy Hotel Group, Mr. Walshe served as Chief Executive Officer of Dublin-based Doyle Collection, which operates properties in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and United States.
His past roles also include Chief Marketing Officer of the U.A.E.-based Jumeirah Group and sales roles at Kempinski Hotel & Resorts and Hilton Hotels Corporation.
Mr. Walshe received an Executive MBA from the Reims Management School in France, and a degree in Hotel and Catering Management from the Galway International Hotel School in Ireland.
