LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — CBS and Dick Clark Productions announced that music icon Jennifer Lopez is set to host the 50th annual American Music Awards when the show returns on May 26.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Lopez back to host the American Music Awards,” said Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions. “Jennifer’s incredible talent and incomparable stage presence make her the ideal host. We know she will bring her one-of-a-kind energy to the official kickoff celebration of summer.”
Lopez, who is no stranger to the AMAs, first hinted at her return to hosting during an appearance on the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special in the fall of 2024, which proved to be one of the most-watched entertainment specials of the year.
She last hosted the AMAs in 2015 and has performed at the long-running awards show more than ten times.
2025 will mark the first AMAs ceremony since the show went on hiatus following its 2022 edition.
The awards are scheduled to air live from Las Vegas on May 26, 2025, on CBS and will stream on Paramount+.
