HARTFORD, Conn. (CelebrityAccess) — Public safety officials said more than 90 people were hospitalized during a concert in Hartford on Friday, headlined by Chance the Rapper.
According to WTNH, Hartford Police said many of the people were transported for what they described as “severe intoxication” and said many who needed medical attention were apparently underage.
Hartford Police also issued more than 50 citations for underaged drinking in parking lots around the Xfinity Theater in Hartford, where the concert was taking place.
Police said the concert crowd appeared to be primarily people in their late teens and early twenties and noted that excessive consumption of alcohol was “extremely prevalent.”
Chance The Rapper was performing as a part of the Hot 93.7′s Hot Jam concert at Xfinity Theater. Also on the bill were Kyle, PnB Rock and ANoyd.
