LOUISVILLE, Ky. (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — AEG Facilities has been named as the new manager for the KFC Yum! Center, an arena in downtown Louisville.
Louisville Arena Authority tapped AEG on Thursday to replace the arena's former managers, the Kentucky State Fair Board over two competitors, Global Spectrum, who submitted a joint bid with Live Nation Arenas and Spectacor Management Group who also submitted a bid.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Larry Hayes, chairman of the Louisville Arena Authority told Business First that the decision to go with AEG was made due to the company's experience as a promoter and venue manager. Hayes went on to note that AEG had a proven track read of promoting events at the venue already.
