AEG Tapped For Live Music For Jockey Club


LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Jockey Club Live, a joint venture between the Jockey Club Racecourses, the UK's largest consortium of racetrack owners, and live entertainment company Live at the Races has announced that they are teaming up with AEG Live.

Under the terms of the deal, AEG Live will be take over live music promotion for Jockey Club Live and will be handling bookings for the company starting in summer 2015.

Jockey Club Live was launched in 2013 by Andrew Wilkinson and Simon Halden, in partnership with The Jockey Club, which runs the biggest racecourse group by turnover in the UK. Wilkinson and Halden have between them worked with numerous international artists including Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Take That and Kylie Minogue among others. Wilkinson is the founder of leading concert tour production and management company KingStreet Tours, while Halden founded Sports & Outdoor Media International PLC and The Frontiers Group. Jockey Club Live was established to increase the popularity and commercial success of live music events at the 15 Jockey Club owned racecourses around the UK. Over 300,000 people attended the first season of Jockey Club Live music events throughout summer 2014.
