ATLANTA (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Waka Flocka Flame was arrested on Friday at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on gun charges after police say they found a handgun in his carry-on bag.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Waka Flocka Flame, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, was arrested for carrying a weapon in a prohibited place after the gun allegedly turned up during a search before a domestic flight. Officer Ralph Woolfolk with Atlanta police said that Malphurs did not have a permit for the gun.
Following his arrest, Malphurs was transported to the Clayton County jail, but released on bond after several hours, the Journal-Constitution reported.
