LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Even as Blur's Australian tour gets underway, the group's frontman Damon Albarn revealed that he's getting ready to record a new Gorillaz album.
"I'm starting recording in September for a new Gorillaz record," Albarn told ABC's 7.30.
The Gorillaz, Albarn's cartoon collaboration created with illustrator Jamie Hewitt, has been quiet since 2011's album "The Fall" with the exception of 'Do Ya Thang' a single in 2012, made in collaboration with LCD Soundsystem's James Burphy and Andre 3000 from Outkast.
Since then, Albarn has been involved with Blur material, including 'The Magic Whip,' their first album in 12 years. – Staff Writers
