SEATTLE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A unit of Anschutz Corp has acquired virtually all of the assets of Ambassadors International Inc. (AMIE), parent company to Windstar Cruises.
According to Bloomberg, Anschutz's TAC Cruise LLC's offered approximately $39 million in a cash bid for the cruise line, which operates a three-ship luxury yacht fleet. According to Ambassador, the ships carry 148 to 312 passengers to 50 nations in Europe, the Caribbean and the Americas.
Ambassador filed for chapter 11 late last year, listing $87.3 million in debt and $86.4 million in assets as of Dec. 1, 2010 Bloomberg said. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
