NEWCASTLE, UK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Duran Duran has been forced to cancel a string of dates in the opening of their tour of the United Kingdom after the band's frontman Simon Le Bon came down with laryngitis.
So far, two dates have been affected: the May 18th show at the Newcastle Arena and the May 19th show at Glasgow’s SECC. The band's next scheduled performance is May 21st at the Birmingham LG Arena.
Ticketholders to both events are asked to hold on to their passes as the shows will be rescheduled with an announcement on timing expected within a few days.
One of the most successful bands of the 1980s, the band has been touring behind their most recent studio album, "All You Need Is Now" which was released in late 2010. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
