HIDALGO, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Eric Blockie has joined the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, TX as the new General Manager.
Prior to joining the State farm Arena, Blockie worked for Hartman Arena in Wichita, KS as the Vice President / General Manager where he directed the areas of booking as the talent buyer for the in-house production services and managed the operations, marketing and venue development.
Blockie has more than 25 years of industry experience from his start at Bill Graham Presents as the Operations / Production Manager / Tour Manager to General Manager of Shoreline Amphitheater.
Blockie has served in many capacities from being Asst. Tour Manager for Huey Lewis and The News, to Tour Manager for Irekere and Chucho Valdez. He was also the General Manager and venue development for SFX, Clear Channel and Live Nation.
State Farm Arena is the largest entertainment venue in South Texas drawing over 2.5 million guests from both sides of the border every year. Currently it is ranked #13 in the Nation by Venues today and #2 in Texas in venues its size.
