LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — New York City punk mecca CBGB is moving to Las Vegas.
After months of speculation as to the future of the famed club, CBGB owner Hilly Kristal, who lost his lease last year and has been forced to shut down, has confirmed he’s heading to Sin City.
Kristal, who will close the club at its current East Village location on September 30th, says, “I intend to take everything out of there that represents CBGB.
“We’re going to take the bars, the toilets, the urinals, even the doors. We want to re-create the essence of the club.”
Kristal is reportedly in talks with various partners, and plans to reopen the club in Vegas in 2008. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
