Christian Festival Association Adds New Members

NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Christian Festival Association has announced that they have added four new festivals to the fold.

The four new events were voted in by the membership of the association at their recent fall meeting, held in Nashville. The newly admitted events include The Sonshine Festival (July 17-19) in Wilmar, Minn, King's Fest (July 10-12) in Doswell, VA, Spirit Song (July 10-12) in Cincinnati and Crossover Christian Music Festival (June 10-12) in the Lake of the Ozarks, MO.

The Association was formed in 2006 by 23 Christian music festivals with the stated goals "to promote positive communication and synergies between the nation's top Christian festivals. Our goal is to see these member organizations grow both spiritually and fiscally, so that more lives can be changed for glory of God."

The association claims that more than 1.5 million fans attend Christian music festivals annually.

"In order to effectively translate the Gospel to the next generation at our festivals, the music and its message must be capable of reaching its audience at a heart, mind and soul level," CFA President Bob Thompson told the Christian Post "While we do not require or expect the lyrics of our artists' music to be taken directly from Scripture," he added, "we do expect that the message is consistent with God's plan for our lives, as described in His Word." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
