LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — David Gilmour, longtime guitarist for the seminal rock band Pink Floyd, announced plans for a new album and a new tour later this year.
While details about the forthcoming album were a bit nebulos, a message on Gilmour's website said that the album's release would coincide with a spate of European tourdates in September.
The live shows kick off at the historic Roman amphitheatre in Pula, Croatia, on 12th September, and include dates Verona and Florence in Italy, Orange in France, and Oberhausen in Germany, before Gilmour returns to the UK for a trio of shows at London's Royal Albert Hall on 23, 24 and 25 September.
The news about the new album follows on the heels of the release of the latest Floyd album "Endless River" which hit #1 on the charts in 21 countries around the world and was one of the top 10 best selling albums for 2014, according to IFPI. – Staff Writers
