Def Leppard Debuts New Material Via Video Game

LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Veteran rock band Def Leppard is debuting a video for the title track on their latest album via the popular rhythm-based video game Guitar Hero Live. The move makes the band the first band to showcase new material via the game.

Def Leppard’s “Dangerous” will appear on the game's built in GHTV video system on the Def Leppard: On Through The Ages” Premium Show, which will also include videos for “Let’s Go” and “Rock of Ages.”

“When the idea to premiere our newest music video for ‘Dangerous’ in Guitar Hero Live came about, we were thrilled,” said Joe Elliott of Def Leppard in a press release. “The way our fans discover and listen to our music has evolved so much throughout the years. Whether they’re playing on vinyl, streaming the songs online or playing along to our music video in Guitar Hero Live, it’s amazing to see how interactive music has become.”

Guitar Hero Live, like the many iterations of the game that appeared before it, allow players to follow along with their favorite songs. The newest version added video content to the game, allowing players to play along in time (hopefully) with the music video.
