LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Legendary rock band The Eagles, will join Fleetwood Mac as headliners for the Classic East and Classic West festivals, which have now been confirmed for later this year.
Classic West will feature the Eagles, Steely Dan, and The Doobie Brothers on Saturday, July 15 and Fleetwood Mac, Journey and Earth, Wind & Fire on Sunday, July 16 and will take place at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
Classic East will feature the Eagles, Steely Dan, and The Doobie Brothers on Saturday, July 29 and Fleetwood Mac, Journey and Earth, Wind & Fire on Sunday, July 30 and will take place at Citi Field in New York.
The announcement is a pleasant surprise for Eagles fans. After the passing of founder and frontman Glenn Frey last year, the rest of the band had said they would be retiring. As of yet, no announcement has been made on a replacement for Frey.
The concerts appear to take a page from AEG's highly successful Desert Trip concerts last year, which also featured a stellar lineup of iconic classic rock acts. – Staff Writers
