GRONONGEN, NL (VIP NEWS) — Eurosonic Noorderslag conference and festival in Groningen, the Netherlands, has sold out ahead of the event this week from Wednesday, January 14 – 17.
Encompassing a conference program with 150 panels featuring execs from Vevo, Deezer, YouTube and more, delegates will be able to experience the latest developments in the areas of music, event production, music and technology and music and media.
The festival program will see more than 300 upcoming European acts perform at showcases in 40 venues around the town.
On Wednesday, the European Border Breakers Awards will open Eurosonic, set to honor ten artists that gained traction outside of their home country in 2014.
Winners include Klangkarussell (Austria), Melanie De Biasio (Belgium), MØ (Denmark), Indila (France), Milky Chance (Germany), Hozier (Ireland), The Common Linnets (Netherlands), Todd Terje (Norway), Tove Lo (Sweden) and John Newman (United Kingdom).
Later that evening, Festival Republic boss Melvin Benn will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the European Festival Awards.
Last year, the total amount of visitors to Eurosonic Noorderslag reached 38,500, with 3,275 attending the conference.
