LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation-UK promoter Festival Republic has posted a warning for ticket purchases that there appear to be several firms selling unauthorized tickets to Festival Republic events, including the Leeds, Reading and Latitude festivals.
In a post on their website, Festival Republic wrote:
"A number of people have contacted us to enquire about the website BOOKMETICKETS.com and whether that site will have any official tickets for Festival Republic events (Reading & Leeds festivals, Latitude festival).
Please note that BOOKMETICKETS.com are NOT AUTHORISED by us to sell our event tickets, we have not supplied them with any official tickets to sell and we have no relationship with them at all. Therefore we would not advise buying tickets for our events from them.
To protect yourself, please read further information about touts here. We have a limited number of AUTHORISED agent’s websites we sell our festival tickets through, these are listed here. We are currently looking into companies selling 'touted' tickets and we are doing what we can to stop fraudulent activity.
