First Niagara Strikes Naming Rights Deal With Live Nation For Penn. Shed


BURGETTSTOWN, PA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation has inked a deal with First Niagara bank over naming rights for the amphitheater formerly known as the Post-Gazette Pavilion, replacing the venue's former naming rights sponsor, the Pittsburg Post-Gazette.

The 23,000 seat shed will henceforth be known as the First Niagara Pavilion. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the deal will see First Niagara Bank featured both in signage around the venue as well as on on highway billboards and the amphitheater will now feature a 'First Niagara Family Zone' on the venue's lawn.

Also included in the deal were perks for First Niagara Bank's customers such such as special promotional ticket deals and in-bank promotions.

"First Niagara Bank recognizes that our live music platform is a unique and powerful way to reach their customers and drive their business," said Maureen Ford, Live Nation president of North America music sales. “We look forward to working alongside them as we launch an exciting summer concert season at the venue."

Live Nation and First Niagara also took the opportunity to announce the Baierl Chevrolet.com Country Megaticket. The megaticket will provide access to seven concerts at the amphitheater during 2010 by major touring country artists.

The megatickets will be offered in a tiered system and megaticket holders will be eligible for several exclusive benefits, including reserved seating for gold and lawn along with guaranteed VIP parking for the Platinum level.

Artists included in the Megaticket deal include Sugarland (May 14), The Throwdown Tour feat. Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson, Little Big Town, Jack Ingram, Eric Church, and the Eli Young Band (May 29) Brad Paisley & Darius Rucker (June 12), Tim McGraw with Lady Antebellum (July 8), Brooks & Dunn (July 30), Toby Keith (August 22) and Rascall Flatts w/ Kellie Pickler (Sept 17). – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
