Former Show Me Center Director David Ross Dies

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Missouri (CelebrityAccess) — David Ross, former director of the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, died on April 14th from complications of a ruptured esophagus. He was 63.

Ross, who retired in 2012, held the post of director at the venue for at least a year before it opened, according to the Southeast Missourian. Prior to signing on at the Center, Ross spent two years at the University of Tennessee and worked with the North American Soccer League for a seven year stretch.

"David was known as a very hard worker, a very loyal individual," Wil Gorman, who became director after Ross retired, told the Southeast Missourian. "He mentored a lot of people, myself included."

In addition to maintaining an active role in the local community, Ross also served president of the International Association of Assembly Managers from 2005-2006. – Staff Writers
