Green Day Heads For Europe

(VIP-NEWS) — Green Day have announced a new run of shows in North America and Europe to coincide with the release of the band`s 12th studio album, Revolution Radio, which arrives next month.

The group will kick off the European leg in 2017 starting in Italy on January 10th. Then the band travels around Europe for a series of gigs in Italy, Germany, Sweden and the U.K.

After years of working with outside producers, Green Day chose to self-produce their latest record. "This time I just wanted to feel the freedom of just depending on ourselves and getting in a room," frontman Billie Joe Armstrong told Rolling Stone. "There`s no in-between person, and we`re forced to sort of be in there with each other."

As a result, Armstrong suggested that the group`s musicianship reached new heights. "Tre`s drumming on this record is I think the best he`s ever done," Armstrong continued. "I could say the same with Mike`s bass playing."
