(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — House of Blues has appointed Dave Hart, SVP of HOB Concerts, and Talent Buyer Paola Palazzo as the primary talent buyers for Denver region, filling a void left when Jason Miller moved out of the region to join Live Nation last week.
Hart and Palazzo will be responsible for the award winning Coors Amphitheatre, which is exclusively managed and promoted by House of Blues, and will also oversee HOB efforts in programming several other venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Magness Arena and Showcase Theatre, Pepsi Center and CityLights Pavilion, The Lecture Hall at Colorado Convention Center, the Ogden Theatre, the Bluebird Theatre and the Gothic Theatre.
Both Hart and Palazzo are based in Los Angeles.
“With the appointment of two strong talent buyers, House of Blues remains doubly committed to the Denver area. I look forward to expanding our reach in the Mountain region,” said Alex Hodges, EVP of House of Blues Concerts, in a statement. “The entire cadre of House of Blues talent buyers works together as a team in sharing the responsibility of producing live events in each market. Our Denver office will continue to be staffed by a superlative group of professionals who are well-versed in producing live events in the market, including Coors Amphitheatre GM and National Director of Operations Ross Hollman, Assistant Talent Buyer Francois Baptiste, Production Manager Ken Downing, Director of Marketing Justin Levy, Regional Director of Corporate Partnerships Amy Imthurn, Ticket Manager Sean O’Connell and Business Manager Tonia Daves.”
Hart will continue to book the Smirnoff Music Centre in Dallas and all other HOB-related activity in Texas. He also serves as the executive producer of the upcoming Ringo Starr 9th All Starr Summer Tour 2006. Hart has a long history with outdoor venues, having been a senior executive for both Nederlander and MCA, and came to HOB Concerts after creating the theatrical concert division at The Agency Group. He began his career under the tutelage of Bill Graham at the Fillmore East.
Alongside HOB Concerts SVP’s Bob Shea and Emily Simonitsch, and Director of Special Events Jill Przelenski, Palazzo will continue to program the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. She also books other Southern California venues, including the Los Angeles Sports Arena and the Bren Events Center at UC Irvine, as well as several events at various venues in the Las Vegas market. Palazzo was recently honored with the prestigious Music Business Achievement Award at the second annual Hamilton Music Awards in Ontario, Canada. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
