BLOOMINGTON, IL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The naming rights to a new sports and entertainment center in Bloomington, Illinois, have gone to U.S. Cellular in a 10-year, $1.75 million agreement. The $37 million facility will be named the U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
The company will pay $175,000 annually and provide $25,000 a year in phone services for the arena, which will be hosting concerts, an indoor football team, a hockey team, and amateur sporting events. The football team will start in the spring of 2006, and the hockey team will start in October of 2006.
The 7,000-seat arena will open next year.
This will be the fourth facility named for U.S. Cellular, and their largest venue yet. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
