LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Building on the success of previous events, this year's ILMC Production Day will this year see the gathering of 150 of the world's leading production managers, suppliers and promoters' representatives. Sponsored by EPS, Megaforce and Media Power, the fourth annual event takes place on Thursday 8 March and features extended networking sessions and a trade area for companies to showcase their products.
Discussions this year will focus on four distinct issues that are facing the industry:
1. Structures, safety and the weather: ways to increase the safety of outdoor event productions in the wake of several disasters at outdoor events last year caused by inclement weather.
2. International touring and local issues: problems caused when the expectation of the international touring party clashes with local culture or legislation.
3. Education: the importance of education in the production business, and a report from different markets on progress made within this area.
4. Working outside our sphere: comparisons to be made between the live concert, television and film industries, and lessons to be learnt.
The IPM will also include a networking buffet lunch, and evening drinks and nibbles in the company of ‘early-bird’ ILMC delegates at the Walk-in & Fallout Party. The cost of attendance will be £30 for ILMC delegates (although registration is separate to ILMC registration), or £60 for non-ILMC delegates.
