NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) has extended its deadline to November 1, 2011. Entries will be accepted online until 11:59 PM EST. Mail-in entries must be postmarked on or before November 1. Online entry platforms include Sonicbids, Broadjam, ReverbNation, Myspace; and ISC's own platform.
This year, the ISC will be awarding more than $150,000 in cash and prizes (shared among the 68 winners) including an overall Grand Prize consisting of $25,000 (US) cash and $20,000 in prizes.
The competition is open to all levels of songwriters with 22 categories that include all genres of popular music. Past winners have included artists from Grammy winners to hobbyist songwriters and everyone in between. Judges for this year's event include Tom Waits, Tori Amos, Ozzy Osbourne, Lucinda Williams, My Morning Jacket, Jeff Beck, McCoy Tyner, Duran Duran, and Kelly Clarkson.
