NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Rumors of Jay-Z's retirement have apparently been highly exaggerated as Billboard is reporting that the iconic rapper/mogul is preparing a brief tour to promote his latest release "American Gangster." The album shares a name with a new film by Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe and although it will also be released on the same day as the film, is not directly connected to the movie, Reuters reported.
Jay-Z's mini-tour will start at the HoB in L.A. on November 6 and wind down in New York at the Hammerstein on November 12th and he will only be performing material from the new disk. The tour has proven to be a hot ticket item, reportedly selling out in a mere sixty seconds.
