Jim Morewood Joins The Mean Fiddler

Jim Morewood previously with ITB has recently joined The Mean Fiddler Organisation bringing the following artists with him: Clawfinger, Suicidal Tendencies, Steve Lamacq and HIM.

Founded in 1982 by Vince Power, The Mean Fiddler Organisation is now one of the leading concert promoters in the UK organising several major UK festivals including Reading Festival, Leeds Festival, Homelands Festival, The Fleadh Festivals etc. Besides this The Mean Fiddler own many of the leading venues in the UK incl. Jazz Café, The Forum, The Garage, Upstairs at the Garage, London Astoria etc.

After the success of last year’s double sell out The Mean Fiddler will be presenting the Reading and Leeds Festivals between 24th & 26th August this year. The world’s only 3 day dual site event will include names such as Manic Street Preachers, Travis, Eminem, Green Day and Marilyn Manson. These appearances are Manson’s only UK festival dates this year.

The company has staged several events across the Atlantic including the Fleadh festivals in New York, Chicago, San Fransisco and Boston. On 8th September this year The Reading Festival USA will take place at the Tweeter Center Amphitheater near Philadelphia and plans are already being made to bring the festival to more cities in the US next year.
