ADELAIDE, NZ (CelebrityAccess) — Veteran musician Karl Denson has announced that he will join The Rolling Stones on saxophone for nine shows in Australia and New Zealand on their 14 On Fire tour.
The NZ/Australian leg of the tour starts on October 25nd in Adelaide and wind down after 9 dates with a November 22nd show in Auckland, NZ. Originally slated for March 2014, the tour was postponed following the sudden death of Mick Jagger's girlfriend, fashion designer L’Wren Scott.
While Denson is a well-regarded musician, songwriter and bandleader, he is perhaps best known as the frontman for Karl Denson's Tiny Universe. Denson has had to postpone his upcoming tour dates with The Tiny Universe in order to tour with The Rolling Stones. An announcement is forthcoming as to when those shows will be rescheduled.
“It's the opportunity of a lifetime, the chance to see the world through a giant pair of lips,” says Denson about his upcoming shows with The Stones. "It's going to be amazing to get even closer to this music that I have listened to all my life." – Staff Writers
