NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Iconic singer, songwriter and record producer Kenny Rogers announced on Friday that after 57 years, he was retiring from touring. But not before one last outing.
During an appearance on NBC’s The Today Show, Rogers revealed that his upcoming world tour, which kicks off in 2016 would be his last.
Details regarding Roger's tour itinerary were not announced, but the full announcement should take place in the next couple of months.
Rogers will also be releasing his first new Christmas album in seventeen years. The album, "Once Again It's Christmas" is due on Warner Music Nashville, and will be available, unsurprisingly, in time for Christmas.
A member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Rogers is known for his hits such as The Gambler, Lady and Coward of the County. Over the course of his career, Rogers has sold more than 68 million albums in the U.S. alone. – Staff Writers
