Live Nation Acquires BottleRock

LOS ANGELES, (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation Entertainment announced that they have taken a controlling stake in the BottleRock Napa Valley music, wine, craft brew and culinary festival.

BottleRock will remain under the leadership of festival producer Latitude 38 Entertainment, 38 Entertainment, whose founders Dave Graham, Justin Dragoo and Jason Scoggins will continue to be stakeholders in the festival, the company said.

As well, BottleRock will continue to be produced independently by the Latitude 38 Entertainment team, Live Nation said. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The 3-day festival, held annually in May, showcases more than 30 of the region's wineries and dozens of restaurants, as well as range of musical artists. The lineup for 2016 included Stevie Wonder, Florence + The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Lumineers, Death Cab for Cutie, Lenny Kravitz, Walk the Moon, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Ziggy Marley and Grouplove.

The fest joins Live Nation's expanding festival portfolio, which already includes high profile events such as Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Reading, Leeds, Governor's Ball, Electric Daisy Carnival, Rock Werchter and more.

BottleRock 2017 is set for May 26 – 28 and is expecting more than 120,000 attendees with Foo Fighters, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and Maroon 5 headlining. – Staff Writers
