DUBAI, UAE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation Entertainment has been selected to exclusively book the debut season at the new 60,000 capacity Meydan Racecourse.
Live Nation has already brought Sting in to perform at Dubai International Racing Carnival’s Super Thursday and Elton John and Santana are set to perform at the 2010 Dubai World Cup, which will take place on March 27th.
The racetrack is part of the Dubai Meydan City development, which covers more than 40 million square feet in Dubai and includes shopping malls, restaurants, entertainment clubs, a concourse plaza, residential and office space.
"We expect to book three more concerts there by the end of the year." Live Nation Entertainment Middle East Elissa Murtaza told Audience Magazine. "The year has started well for us with a 10,000 capacity Nickelback show at Dubai Festival City that almost sold out.
